Orange Essential Oil 10ml
Latin Name: Citrus sinensis
Oranges are used extensively in Chinese medicine. The Romans drank orange-flower water after orgies in the hope it would reduce hangovers. Orange has been used to boost the immune system and fight colds due to its high levels of vitamin C.
Source: Citrus sinensis is produced in Portugal and Spain
Extraction: Orange essential oil is steam distilled from the fresh fruit peel of the sweet orange tree.
Aroma: Sweet, sugary, and citrus
Fragrance note: Top
Properties: The essential oil is almost 90 per cent limonene, which is why it refreshes and stimulates while at the same time leaving you relaxed
It is a good skin rejuvenator as it contains vitamins A, B and C. Use it for sun exposed skin, wrinkles or a dull, sallow complexion.
In aromatherapy it is excellent for calming children, or energising anyone who is lethargic or over-tired.
Uses: Massage, baths, inhalation, vaporization, poultice, compress and may be added to base emollients
Orange essential oil is useful for massage when you need to relax after a hard day but still need the energy to go out that night, or for any facial massage. It makes an excellent body moisturiser.
